  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

While taveling I came to find my '13 93 (3.8) sedan wouldn't start. I went to the trunk and tried to see if a battery clamp was loose. I immediately got power and off we went...until the next stop where it happened again... and again. Tightening the positive clamp restores the power until... The clamp is as tight as I can get it. I hear an electric "snap" when I push the start button and everything goes dead. There is a momentary dead spot and thenthe engine starts. I'm wearing out my ratchet handle!

Fuse block is likely bad, intermittent open, you're hearing the arc.

On top of the battery.

I was looking at that yesterday and it felt "floppy". It was firm before that. Great response! I'm headed to Hyundai, extended warranty in hand. Thank you, thank you...

To Gunkk:
thanks again. I went out to the car (in daylight) and found that the nut at the rear of the unit was loose. This movement was the cause of my problem.
On our vacation trip when this first occurred we had a large container of water bottles placed upon this area. I thought it had broken the unit but...
Thanks
