  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

When going over bumps, usually at higher speeds, my hood looks like it's bouncing up and down a bit. Not a big range of motion but kind of fast - and just near the firewall area. I thought this may have been an illusion but I don't think it is. Anyone else with the issue?

Been other complaints about this:

Look under the hood - check the attached "sound deadening panel" underneath to see if it really is attached properly. Specifically, there should be 5 or 6 "pushpins" with one inch heads holding that panel firmly firmly in place.

Yes, I've noticed it a few times as well (more than I did on my 2015), but usually only if I look for it - so I'm not really concerned about it at this point.

It is also apparently thinner than other cars I have had. When driving through a touchless carwash, the hood flutters like mad when going under the blower dryers.

i get some hood flutter near the base of the windshield when driving at highway speeds...especially if there is a headwind.

Will like to add this as a curiosity, G1 had an aluminum hood which is an improvement in weight loss , G2 went back to steel.

this was a complain in Saudi Arabia for 2015 model issues

it solved in 2016 and even a recall happen in saudi arabia to fix the 2015 Hood

in my car its 2016 and idont have any thing like this

It does it on the '15 also. Saw it this weekend. Little concerned.

My '15 does this to some degree, if I fixate on it.

Same problem here. The trailing edge close to the windshield vibrates like crazy at highway speeds. It creates the impression that the hood is too thin.
I hope Hyundai comes quickly with a fix

I noticed the vibrating hood (closest to the windshield) when on the freeway and my tires were out of balance (off the lot). Once corrected (with new tires) I still notice the vibration, although minimally, but still noticeable.
