  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello all,
What are y'all doing for tires these days?

I have a 2012, and I've had the Pirelli Cinturato All Season Plus 2 for 43K miles and need some replacements. They had a 50K mile warranty, so I should get a little money back. I was pretty happy with them, performance-wise.

I live in Houston, so snow and ice performance isn't a concern. I'm mostly looking for good control and good treadwear.

Currently using Cooper Xeon RS-3, if I remember correctly. They're more of a warm-weather tire, as far as full performance goes, but they do okay in rain. I haven't pushed them very hard in the wet, though, and I have 18" wheels.

Does your car have the 4.6 engine? I've wondered about getting some 17" wheels to run winter tires, but didn't know if they would clear my brake calipers. Not sure if I have the same calipers as the 3.8 model or not...
