  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I just wanted to pass this along.

I ordered a set of 17" rims for the winter. According to the company's website and the saless person, these rims would fit the coupe.

Well, they probably would, if I didn't have the track version with Brembo's. The back fit okay, but when I went to put them on the front, there is about 1/4" gap.

Stupid me didn't dry fit them before I went and put the tires on.

So now.....I have to go and pay to have the tires taken off, ship them back, ship the rims back, order new tires, order new rims, and have the new rims mounted and balanced.

Luckily, the company recognizes that they made a mistake and are paying for the original mount and balance, the unmount, the return charge for the tires, and the return charge for the rims. At least that is what they tell me. I haven't done anything yet.

Live and learn.....
