  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Never thought to ask about wheel size when I leased a loaded Genesis and as a result, I have 18" wheels. Don't know why I thought it came with 19" wheels. In any event, anyone have an opinion as to the pros and cons of 18" vs 19" wheels?

Assuming you adjust the aspect ratio so that both have the same total diameter of rim+tire (as you definitely should), here are some considerations:

  • 18" tires will provide a smoother ride since the aspect ratio is higher and there is more rubber between the rim and the road.
  • 18" tires will be cheaper than 19", plus you don't have to pay for new rims.
  • 18" tires are slightly better in rain or snow, and very slightly better gas mileage.
  • 19" tires will provide better braking and handling because they have wider tread and have stiffer/shorter sidewall.
  • 19" are better looking to some people.
Most of the above assume one is comparing the same tire brand and model, just different sizes.

I'd go twenties and call it a day.

Thank you Mark. Good to know the pros and cons. I'm good with my 18s.

I'd keep the 18s, they look better too IMO
