  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have a 2010 3.8L 1st generation with Navigation and backup camera. The head unit is Model 96563-3M850 with a Toshiba LCD/digitzer (LT070AB99100). The monitor seems blurry and "faded". I was wondering if anyone has seen this before, and how it has been fixed. I'd like to save the money, and just replace the LCD (~$250) versus having the unit refurbished (~$500) or complete replacement (>$1,500).

If it's a plastic screen I'd try polishing it with Plexus. Can't hurt and maybe it'll remove the haze from the screen.

Good advice. The issue I'm having is internal to the LCD or the video driver of the navigation computer.

Has anyone here had to replace the head unit on their 1st generation Genesis sedan at their own expense? I would like to know the approximate costs of replacing this. In looking at some of the aftermarket service contracts, this can be limited to $1000. I suspect this is not enough to cover replacement. Thanks for any insight.

Aliexpress has replacement
