2.5 vs 3.5 engine on 2021 G80

I'm in the market for a new Genesis G80 and was trying to decide between the engines. I have a fast car now, which I am willing to give up for an upgrade in luxury. It's a 4.2 0 to 60. Which is crazy fast but I rarely use or need it. That said, from what I have seen online the 0 to 60 time is 5 seconds for both the 2.5 and 3.5. So what's the point in paying more for the bigger engine? I'll be slower than I am used to anyways.

What do you owners think? 3.5 worth the upgrade cost?

I test drove both, the 3.5 and 2.5 and I chose the 2.5 and don't regret it a bit. It has all the power you need and you get really decent gas mileage. With the 3.5 you get a little bit more pep, about 1/2 second better 0-60 and much less gas mileage. I also noticed a little more body roll in the 3.5 due to the extra engine weight. The 2.5 is just fine if you aren't planning on driving over 100mph constantly and aren't one of those guys who has to beat everyone off the line just because..

I too own the 2.5, agree with everything Trith72 says. Main thing the 3.5 gets you is heads up display (with advanced or prestige package), look ahead camera adaptive suspension, and a bigger set of Cajoles (LOL). But at a hefty price penalty, and hefty mpg penalty. I have my share of "fast cars" (road runner, corvette, etc.) and do not feel my 2.5 is lacking for power.

What wrong beating people off the line just cause ? Every now and then ? Its fine , it shows what your car is made off vs other cars. What happens if you do go over 100 mph ever so often ?
