  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

$2,500 CPO certification fee for a vehicle advertised as CPO??

Post from Saturday morning finally was moderator approved. ^^

Just read it. Wow what a train wreck. You have far more patience than I would have had. I would have walked out in about 2.5-3 hours and even driven to out of state to get the car if it meant the experience was a bit better. I hope you don't have that same shop do your service? :)

Believe me, I was so close many times. As we were eating I told my GF that I don't know if I even want to go back.

Anyhow, I am not sure yet where I will take it for service, they are the closest Genesis dealer, about 30 minutes from me. There is another one about the same distance but the reviews are just as bad. There are also several Hyundai dealerships closer to me, I called 2 of them, one said they wouldn't service Genesis and the other said they would only do basic maintenance, but their reviews for their service department was also bad.

It's a shame their service departments are all rated so poorly.

Guys, I have a BIG post I made Saturday morning, that is STILL pending moderator approval. I don;'t know why this is still happening or why the mod is so slow to approve. I think my initial post took like a week. Then my first reply took several days, and here we are again. It's screwing up the flow of the thread.

Anyhow, I am unsure about the HPP thing yet, but I know that's a Hyundai warranty. Not sure yet how that will play out but I will look into it. For the record this dealership is a combined Hyundai/Genesis dealership.
Well you have a lot more patience than I do. I'd have bolted the first time they jerked you around re:CPO
My son, who has a 30 plus year career in auto sales mostly with Chrysler, said the same. He also mentioned the tire thing,as well as the fob replacement and security etching are bogus add ons.

any update... Did everything get worked out? Just bought a Genesis CPO GV80 from a combined dealer and having trouble getting them to give me appropriate paperwork showing its Genesis CPO. They keep giving me Hyundai CPO paperwork which only includes powertrain.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
A CPO is useless on that car. Just buy an extended warranty. That will give you the powertrain warranty for 10/100,000. You’ll already get the basic 5/60,000 warranty when you buy the car.
I second that suggestion!

Thanks..really appreciate the info! Im not sure if mine is the same as extended warranty? The Dealer sold as GENESIS CPO and advertised it got 100K powertrain and extended the limited as well from 5/60k to 6 years 75K. I called Genesis and they said they can see in system as Genesis CPO which entitles the vehicle to that... however at the Genesis Dealership Service center it is still showing on their end only 60K.. I asked the dealership I purchased from.. for the Warranty paperwork so that if its ever an issue I would have and the only one they gave me was one showing that it is "Hyundai" Powertrain 100K warranty which im not sure if that is even correct? but nothing on the limited... Unfortunately I purchased out of state and when I call them I get STV..

I think there is some confusion at the dealership because I purchased as Genesis CPO on a combined Genesis/Hyundai lot and all the sales people I've been dealing with seem to be on the Hyundai side and not familiar with the Genesis CPO

There is no “…” If you called Genesis and they can see it as CPO just ask THEM to send you the detail and what it means. If you are assuming it means 75k and you don’t have it in writing then it means nothing. Dealers bank on ambiguity to allow them to interpret things however they want.
