  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I've been reading about the suspension upgrade here for quite some time, seen some of the posts describing the process ... but, while the process was covering the V6 model I don't think the V8 has been covered ... at least regarding the part numbers

my observations after 2k miles with a 2009 V8:

- I do find the steering behavior to be "loose" ... harsh is something I don't mind, but not loose
- back end is indeed bouncy as some described, and I did observe that when hauling some 200lbs of tiles in the trunk the car behaved much more stable (tar joints on the highway seemed smoother, bouncing was gone and even the overall handling has improved

but to the point - did somebody upgrade his 2009 V8 suspension, if so could you describe the process and list the part numbers required.

and yes, I did compare my 2009 against a 2010/11 V8 genesis testdrive

I got this from another thread. Hopefully this will get you started.. P.S. Go look at my thread which I swapped out the V6 and those are the parts needed to replace in the V8. Call up a dealer and ask for those part numbers.

"v8 models ) old rear shock part number 55310-3m900
