I've recently repo'd my 2009 4.6L Genesis from my son who is in professional school and probably not taking the best care of it! I've had this baby since it hit the lot - bought it without driving it! Love this car.
It has a grinding/vibration at times during shifting driving around town - it's inconsistent, sometimes subtle and sometimes pretty notable. When on cruise control, it's perfect (the last dealer aligned the wheels to where I have to work to keep it from going right...not cool.) This same dealer quoted me over 4K to fix a littany of "issues but the main symptom appears to be related to the timing chain.
Do you have to remove the engine on this car to get access to this mechanism? Any tips would be appreciated!
This is my First day here and my first post! Glad to be here! Thanks in advance!
