  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello ,

I just bought a 2009 Genesis 3.8 few weeks ago it has 34k miles the car runs fine and everything almost perfect other than a few small problems .
My abs and Traction control don't work i used an OBD scaner and it turns out that my left front wheel abs wheel sensor is missing so what i'm seeking to know is if i buy a new sensor will my TC and ABS work again ?

My other problem is with a whining noise coming from the back of the car , the first thing came in mind is the diff but after checking it's now low on oil it was leaking a little bit but now the leaking is stopped so what would cause such a problem .

Thanks in advance ! .

I have posted the thread in the wrong section , and i can't find the delete feature ! could some of the mods move it to the 1G Genesis section . thanks

I had the same problem, but after dropping off my mother-in-law the whining stopped. Check the back seat.

Does the noise change with speed? Does it change on different types of road paving? That could be tires. Have you rotated tires and did that make a change?

Could till be differential or a bearing though.

hahaha i'm not even married .
when i lightly press the pedal is when is audible , when i floor it there is no noise and it's on all types of roads , no i haven't rotated the tires and i only hear it from the back right side from the car .

I'm not sure what all is back there, but probably an axle bearing. Sometimes gears and bearings will make noise while turning normally but will quiet down under load.
I had a car with a similar drive train whine and never quite figured it out. Moderately annoying, I put another 85,000 miles on it. I hope you find and fix it.

yeah it goes when i put some load on the car or left my foot of the pedal , so is there any way to fix that ? thanks
