2009 Genesis 4.6L worth it??

Hello,
I’m currently a college student in the market for a nice car. I came across this genesis and the car was listed as a good price, 6900 but it has 130,000 miles on it. It was serviced recently and has no accidents. This genesis is also the technology addition one. Is 130,000 too many miles on an old car? Any advice would help, thanks!

There is absolutely no way for any of us to know if there will be problems with a car with that amount of mileage. Personally, I would get a something like a Toyota Corolla that is newer and with a lot fewer miles. You can check Consumer Reports Used Car Reliability statistics for the most reliable models and years (most libraries carry the annual issue that has that info). College is a time for investing in your future, not for making foolish choices.

These are big wallet cars that just happen to have low purchase prices. Repairs and maintenance will cost BMW and Mercedes money... not Chevy money.

The tech trim cars have a LOT of fancy gear on them that is very expensive to fix when it breaks. All parts are made and imported from Korea, and they call cost a heap of cash to get. You're not gonna find em at auto zone.

Sure you can drop $6900 for the car. But when the tilt steering and seat motor limit switches go it's $500. When the brake module goes it's $4k. Head unit $3k+ Engine $10k+ Transmission $10k+

You might get lucky.

I echo the above sentiments. When I was in college I bought a used Lexus ES300, basically a Toyota Camry. I got it for a song. 72k miles IIRC. It got me through with nothing but regular maintenance. IF someone was to buy a used Genesis I wouldn't recommend it without a warranty or a salary capable of absorbing the repairs...should they come. Your rolling the dice if you buy it and it's a costly roll to boot.
