Thanks for the reply but that part is the floor panel right behind the seat. I've searched eBay but no luck. Maybe some with a 2009 Genesis Sedan can post a picture of their trunk to let me see how it looks.Recommend you contact part sellers on Ebay to see if they can source one for you. For example, these folks. No affiliation, I just searched up trunk trim parts.
Or you can try these folks. This might be what you are looking for:

Hard to tell from the diagram. Best best might be to talk to a dealer or local body shop that does accident repairs to ID the correct part.
My Car has been shipped to Guam Naval Base and I was stationed in Seattle. The rust flakes are due to the battery and weather from these locations, Care has never been flooded and I've vacuumed and repainted the areaThat should be the least of your worries.
Why do you have so much rust on the trunk floor? Looks really bad from the pics. Almost like it's a flood car.
Thanks for the reply and information.I just looked in the trunk of my 2012 and it has the same exact openings. Nothing goes there, the mat just rests on the lip. You may have broken the particle board under the mat itself and it caves in when you put weight on it. I also have the Genesis trunk protector over my mat and that has probably saved mine from collapsing due to picking up 8 bags of water softener salt on occasion. Click the link below.
