  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Going through the various Navi Update threads, I have not been able to find this information, so I thought I'd ask here.

For you guys who have the 2009 Tech only, (not the 2010 or 2011) who got the P06 Navi Update recently.

Please push "Menu" button next to DIS Knob.

Go to "Settings".

Go to "Navi Information". This is the same screen that gives you your longitude and latitude and speed.

Question is this. What does your "Alt" (or is it "Altitude") say?

My car which had NOT YET had the update, has the altitude reading in hundred foot readings. I.E, 0; 200; 400; or when on a trip, 2700; 2900; 3000; etc. Never the exact altitude. (My portable that I use in the Continental always reads the exact altitude).

Just want to know if they have correct this "glitch".

Thats a negative boss. I had the update a few weeks ago.

That was the first thing I looked for and mine has read either 400 or 500 ft since the day I bought it. Even when traveling to the beach or the mountains. Its useless.

Like you said, my portable Garmin Nuvi200 reads it exactly.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
My buddies 2009 reads in 100' increments both before and after the upgrade, same as my 2010.

OK guys. Thanks for the information. (So much for the update).

Do not depend on the altitude being accurate to the 100' displayed. Mine will show 700' at the top of a driveway that is 45' above the road, and 500' once on the road.
