Hi all, my genesis has 143k miles on it. I have owned it since 95K. this issue has existed for the last 3 years.
If I floor it when starting out the transmission slips. If I press the pedal about halfway down no slip, fast acceleration and no slippage in other gears.
I can accelerate hard when moving and no slip. It is interesting to me that it hasn't gotten any worse in over 40k miles. I have adapted and just push the pedal lightly when starting out and acceleration is more than acceptable. Wondering if anyone else has this issue. I can live with it as I love the car, but if it was a reasonable fix that didn't require opening the transmission I would consider it.
thanks in advance for any advice
