  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Well even after all of the problems mentioned on this site, I decided to go out and buy a new 2010 4.6. Boy, I sure hope I didn't make a big mistake! I have always been a high end GM guy but I thought long and hard and decided it was time to try something a little different. It will be 6-8 weeks before I get it from Korea so in the meantime, I guess I will just have to keep on reading about all the problems everybody is having and pray I don't have any of them with the new one when it finally arrives. I don't know whether to post a smile or a frown here since I haven'y got it yet so I will try and be positive and show a big smile. Please don't let me down Hyundai!:

You have nothing to worry!
I was a high end GM guy turned to Japanese, then Audi. The Genesis beats them all. My 2009 Gen 4.6/Tech is 18 months old and not a single problem so far, just oil change every 3 months. My 4.6 was the first V8 Gen in Western Canada.

Thx. for the reassurance. I hope I have as much good luck as you have had thus far.

There are a couple kwirks with the car but nothing major. You'll be very impressed. There really isn't a lot of problems with it and we usually post them when we find something that hits our curios bone.

Those of us that have no problems don't generally start threads about having no problems. My only problem was me ... I had a loose gas cap that caused a check engine light.

Welcome from an old F-86 Dog instructor.

Compared to other auto blogs the Genesis forum is pretty postive. Not everybody is going to be satisfied as it comes down to personal tastes and prefences. The biggest complaint early on was the suspension that was adjusted in mid 2009. Did it satisfy everyone no. I've been very, very happy with my Genesis.

You have got one of the best luxury sedans on the road today..CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Got my 2010 Genesis 4.6 on Dec. 28 and have been very happy. I traded in a Grand Marquis. This is my highway cruiser and what my wife uses arround town and to take the grandsons out . My daily driver is a Mustang GT!

Congrats on your new purchase!
I'm sure you'll love the car.

Dan

My 2010 has just lost all of its sensors front and back. Don't know what happened. Never had a problem before. FOB doesn't work either to open doors or trunk and I have replaced the battery in it about a month ago. Wondering if there could be a main fuse for all of this that has possibly blown? If there is one, where would it be located? If not a fuse, what else might it be?Thx. for any advice and assistance.

Sounds like a fuse. Are you located in cold, snowy area? check your manual for locations. Mine is a 2011 so I am not sure of fuse locations for the early 2010s.

yes I am in -25C at the moment and I have looked at the fuses in the car but cannot find one that relates to any sensors. If anyone has an idea of whether the sensors would be included under a different name, I would really appreciate your input. Really cold t:mad:emperatures have never affected the car in any of the past winters.
