  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So…after the BMW 335i fiasco I started to cross-shop the Genesis Coupe and Ford Mustang GT (4.6L V8).

The 2009 Models (Yahoo.com Auto) appears to show low resell, which might also predict what may happen to the Genesis Coupe. We will see next year.

2009 FORD Mustang GT MSRP $27,210 – Used Price - $16,999

The only difference I see between the 2009 Mustang GT and 2010 Mustang GT is a few hundred increase in price and 15 HP increase in power.

But….the dealers here, for some reason are attempting to sell the 2010 models at ……over $50,000 (MSRP $27,995)

Anyway….I was checking on a couple of slightly used (dealer demo) 2010 Ford Mustang ($50,710) when I noticed….something very unusual...and a bit disturbing.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Which was the disturbing point for you... the 6.1 avg MPG with 238 Miles on it or the "Premium Fuel Only" label.

I'd stay away from this one for sure... can you say "abused"

Having looked at Mustang GT's a while back, I feel safe to tell you that the MSRP on a Mustang GT was much more than $27,210. Thats more like the used price of a 2009Mustang GT. If you want to see good prices on Mustang GT's, check out:
offleaseonly.com and punch in Mustangs, and at the moment, I think they have about nine of them. (Note the difference between a Mustang GT and a Mustang, below).

Also, you have to know that when you talk about a "Ford GT", the Ford GT is NOT a Mustang GT but a very low slung sport car that looks like a Ferrari or Lamborghini, that costs $200,000 and they only made them up to a couple years ago. Also note that a Mustang GT is different than a Mustang. The Mustang GT is the 4.6 liter V8 and the Mustang is the 4 liter V6.

Also, the photo you showed of the dashboard, is NOT A MUSTANG GT. It is a "Roush", who along with "Saleen" makes upgraded cars using the Mustang GT base. That is why your 2010 "Ford Mustang" you pictured had a used price of $50,710. It was a ROUSH, not a Mustang GT.

Well it’s advertized as a Ford Mustang GT. It looks like a Mustang GT, It has running ponies all over it like a Mustang GT and the VIN# categorize it as a Mustang GT. The sales folks said it was a Mustang GT. And when I call my insurance company to check on the car it came back as a Mustang GT. It may have parts from a performance guru, but it is still a Mustang GT. That particular Mustang GT pictured above is a Roush 427R order package that out the door is $43k USD not $50K. (including the base Mustang GT)...which still makes it a FORD Mustang GT.

The duck quacked :D

...and....the MSRP for the 2010 Mustang GT Coupe is $27,995 . And that is according to Ford and Yahoo Auto.
