  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2010 Sedan Display Problem

UPDATE
I called the dealership and told him that I have been posting into some Genesis forums and received feedback that it should be covered. He then backtracked a bit and said, "Oh I thought it was the navigation." DUH! I'm giving them one week to fix this before I unleash the Electronic Email Carpet Bombing, LoL! That's where you send a email detailing the problem to everyone in the Executive Office and home someone listens.

SteelerDave,

I am pleased to hear that dealer is reconsidering. I think that dealer should immediately approve warranty coverage. As the dealer now realizes that the part is not under the shorter navigation warranty coverage, the repair can be approved and completed within a few days. I do not believe that high level e-mails will be needed.

CONCLUSION:)

Glendora Hyundai fixed it!

They got it fixed by doing a reset. He did mention that it would not be covered under warranty if it happened again. Really blows my mind that they were willing to just charge me for a new one to the tune of $1300.00 when all they really had to do was this reset. Does anyone here know how to do the reset for future reference in case this happens again?

Congrats:)

Pull the master fuse surrounded in yellow inside your drivers door on dash side for a reset.
