2011 3.8 V6 Engine shut down doing 80 MPH ...Why?

Driving from SC to NH had a bit of a problem. Driving along fine and with no warning engine shut down in Stony Creek VA. Coasted into shoulder. Started back up rough then settled down. Drove about 20 feet and shutdown. Luckily at an exit and with two more attempts babied it to a truck stop. Parked and it died, would not restart. Most if not all idiot lights now lit. Tried starting after cooling a few hours, no. Tried next morning with cold engine, cranks fine, no fire. Towed to dealer and left for a week. Petrified of extreme repair cost, called dealer, "What exactly was wrong Mr. S?", Started right up for mechanic, no codes, seemed fine. Service mgr started daily while I was gone and tech did test drive. Picked her up yesterday and drove 320 miles doing 80-100 and ran perfectly. Great Kudos to Colonial Hyundai in Colonial Heights VA for effort, communication and not charging for diagnostic work!!! What are most likely causes??

Can be many things. Did you pull codes?

Some of the most common causes for random intermittent shutdowns in the BH are:
1) Battery terminal connections.
2) Crank position sensor.
3) Cam position sensor.
4) ECU.
5) Wiring.

On many modern cars, bad grounds do this in addition to the above.

No codes at all. Have now driven 500 miles no issue, yet likely again. Will clean terminals for sure
