  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have replaced the batteries in both fobs, but no luck. They don't do anything (unlock doors or trunk) and I have to insert into dash to start the car. Any ideas?

Did they work anytime before you replaced the batteries?

can the fob batteries be put in backwards?

Does your nav screen and dome lights still work? I ask because twice now I had it where I had to insert the key to start the car, which was very odd since I have a new fob battery. The 2nd time I had an issue the car wouldn't even start! I went into the driver side door and opened the fuse panel and touched every fuse in the panel and when I hit the master fuse (the one with yellow plastic around the fuse) everything turned back on. Turns out somehow my fuse wiggles loose every few weeks, so I probably need to figure out why, or just replace the fuse.
