  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello everyone,

I have a problem and have googled my fingers raw looking for a solution as well as calling 2 local dealers. They haven't heard of it.

What's happening is when I shut off the car, the audio video display stays on, and if I leave the vehicle with the key in my pocket, the car sounds the screaming noise it makes when you do that with the vehicle running.

To be clear the engine and dash does all shut down as normal.

Everything else seems to be working, I can start it, go for a drive, etc..
The check engine light is off.

Does anyone have any ideas about how to deal with this myself?

Thanks in advance for your help.....

Did you try the other keyfob?

Is there another fob left in the car? Also, have you tried disconnecting the car battery negative terminal in the trunk for about 5 minutes then reconnect?

I'm having the same issue in my 2011 3.8 Sedan. What was the solution?
