No fan of the Camry here. Looks like junk plastic fugly to boot.
Do you guys really like the plastic on the MKS steering wheel? It was a 50k car that I thought wasn't in the league of the Genesis.
The Caddy is a bit mixed to me. Parts are good, parts look like a 1995 Malibu. Interior fit had several bad spots. The design itself made it a rather difficult car to see the corners. If 550hp was my goal, it is probably a good choice. For a $40-50k family sedan it would be behind the M35/37 and the Genesis in my book. Except that the M35 is now a $55-60k M37.
If they put a 350hp DI V6, 8-speed transmission, ventilate the passenger front seat, add their version of Microsoft Sync, and hopefully the electronic/pneumatic suspension for under $45k, the Genesis has the field covered.
Note: blind spot detection, lane departure warning, and collision detection with automatic brake activation is becoming expected at $50k. And night vision is showing up above $65k.
