  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hi all I really hope someone can help I’ve got a 2012 3.8 that’s stuck in limp mode. Here is the sequence of events that caused this. My daughter started the car and went to leave and it would barely move she turned it off and restarted and everything was fine. On her way home the car went into limp mode at freeway speed I ran the codes and it was showing an open circuit in the tps. I cleared the codes and it was fine for about 5 miles then limp mode again. I recently changed the motor and thought maybe I had a loose connection in the harness so I disconnected the ecm and made sure the connections were good however I forgot to disconnect the battery. After doing this stupid move I cleared the codes and it immediately went back into limp mode I’ve tried clearing the codes over and over and always same thing. I’m concerned I fried the ecm. The codes it was throwing were all for the tps so I changed out the throttle body still the same thing. Here are the codes any input is greatly appreciated.
