  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I have now had my 2012 3.8 w/ premium for about 5 weeks and am having a difficult time with one aspect of the iPod integration. As soon as I plug the cable into my iPod, it automatically sets the "repreat" setting to "all." Thus whatever album or playlist I select, when all songs on that album/playlist have been played once, the album recycles and begins again. What is up with that?:(

It is bad enough that whenever I get into the car and start it, the system takes me back to the very beginning "A" of my iPod artist/album menu and not to the then current artist or album. Now, I find that I have to pay particular attention to when songs are starting to repeat and manually end the album and search out a new one.

Is there a fix to this "repeat" issue that anyone has discovered?

Can't you make a playlist with multiple albums and just play it?

Can't you make a playlist with multiple albums and just play it?

That doesn't really solve the problem does it?

What I want is to be able to decide that I want to listen to an album by Toby Keith or Foreigner or OMD or whomever and when it is over, decide to listen to an album by a different artist. I want to make that decision based on how I feel at the time of the decision, not how I felt when I put a playlist together.

Further, even if the playlist was exactly what I wanted, when I had listened to every artist and every song, it would repeat itself.

The iPod, when not connected to the Genesis, allows me to repeat if I want, shuffle if I want or to have each artist/album/playlist end when it is over. Why did Hyundai decide to modify the way the iPod was originally designed to function?
