  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I recently tried swapping out my stock halogen bulbs for all led. The new led lights were truly awful and i couldn’t even see 7 feet ahead of me. Does anyone know a good set of low and high beam led headlights?

Some of the leds dont match up well with halogen reflectors in the headlight housings

I installed the GTR Lighting Ultra 2 H7 bulbs for my high beams and they are freaking nuts how bright they are, truly amazing. I have the OEM HID's for the low beams so not much I can do to upgrade these, but for non-oem HID you could use the a GTR bulb in the low beam housing . The bulbs have an adjustable collar, so you need to ensure that the LED's are at the 9 o'clock and 3 o'clock position. Links below.

There are frequent sales for these bulbs, so I would expect an upcoming sale for Labor Day, maybe 15% - 25% off.

High beam is H7:
"We have optimized the position of the LEDs so that once locked into the assembly, they are directly in-line with what the optics of the projector or reflector was designed for – which will provide you, the driver the most useful and safe beam pattern."

Low Beam is H11/H9/H8

how the hell did you managed to install this?? my car is a 2012 Genesis 5.0 R-Spec I have the HID low beams. The High beam and DRL are the same H7 bulb. But the bulb fits on the base and then the base "screws" on the housing, making it impossible to fit anything that does not have the exact dimensions as the regular H7 halogen bulb. Help is greatly appreciated

Sounds like the DRL bulb changed for 2012 - 2014 models. My DRL is actually been called a position light which only turns on with the headlights or parking lights and they are a very small wedge bulb that is separate from the H7 high beam bulb. Sounds like you may be out of luck for a LED high beam replacement. The way you described your high beam bulb with the bulb fitting on the base is the same as my front turn signals, which makes it impossible as I see it to make LED's work for my front turn signals.

Have you had any more luck finding anything. I have the exact same problem. I just bought new bulbs and I cannot find any socket adapters on the market that would fit out car. Any solution?
