2012 Bluetooth dropouts

I've got a 2012 Genesis 3.8 (base). I've been experiencing a Bluetooth problem where the music from by BlackBerry drops out and immediately fades back in. This happens on average about twice an hour.

Also once the system stopped being able to connect to my BlackBerry and required a re-pairing.

Anyone else seen these?

Is there a way for an owner to update the car's firmware? Say by burning something to a CD?

I have a 2012 base as well. I use a Samsung Windows Phone, and I have had to "re-pair" 4 times in 3 months. The base Bluetooth in this car is sub standard. It is missing the profile that lets you know that you have a text message or email.
