  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

It all started in March 2013, noticed left low beam pointed much lower than right one, sent to dealer for repair, found left not functioning, replaced complete unit, next night the right low beam not in alignment with left side replaced unit. During all this I found out that there is no mechanical adjustment on head lights all done with the on board computer. After getting car back the last time I found both low beams align them self but higher than should be, high beams seam to be ok.
My paper work is getting so big I need a large folder to hold it all.
The dealer has been out standing during all this.:)
Has anyone with a Equus had or have the same problem.

I was just wondering how did you find out that there is no mechanical adjustment to the headlight. Did the service guy tell you so? I prefer headlights that you can turn a screw to adjust the aim.

I also thought there were mechanical adjustment, but the service teck also found out the hard way. on the first try he screw up the high beams and at night it work great for coon hunting, that is lights up in the trees tops. Back to dealer and after many calls to Hyundai and trying the instructions for adjustment it was determined that instructions for adjustment did not work and was told finally that the computer make all adjustments to head lights both in sport mode and normal driving. Going into dealer and going to have the Equus loaner and mine side by side and check the low beams to see if they are the same level. The loaner is a 2013 Ultimate :) nice ride.

After many weeks working on the low beam problem, it was found that the head light capsules were defective from manufacture as these are controlled by computer and capsule talking to each other. The proper mode for the is when turned on is to move to most upward position and lower the lowest then center them selves. All I can say my problem caused quite a stir at Hyundai.
