  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

See the rectangular patch that is cracked. Looks like a sticker. Wife says it can peel but am afraid to scratch the paint. Tried Macguires, but nothing... Dont want to use a harsh chem. Any suggestion ?
Thanks all

It was a clear plastic patch and designed to protect the paint in that spot. I guess you need a wind tunnel to see how it works at 60 mph and some grit on the road.

Evidently that one did not hold up well. If you peel it off the fender won't fall off and I have no idea if the dealer would have a replacement.

I found that using a heat gun/hair blower will allow you to peel it off..I saw a video of it. will try

That's PPF (paint protection film) which has now been on there for 10 years. Yes, a heat gun/hair dryer will help in removing that. Plenty of YouTube videos available with instructions, I'm sure.
