  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I will finance thru Hyundai, and I am eligible for Owner Loyalty Rebate.

I want 2012 Genesis 3.8 w/ premium package for OTD $34000.

If the deal were from out of state, I would accept up to $32000 excluding taxes and registration fees.

How are my chances?

Who knows? I paid $34,500 OTD (inc taxes/tags/title but no discounts) for my 2010 3.8 premium in Feb 2010. Sticker was $38,300; Edmunds "True Market Value" was $36,559. Traded my '06 Azera for $10,400. I haggled a bit but didn't gain much there - I think I did ok.

How many cars are there with that package in your area? Based on that, you can haggle a little but you never know... When the inventory is low, the dealers aren't going to play ball.

In my area, there is nothing available for the base 3.8 without any packages. Not even within 300 miles. So, if I were you, I would jump on it if it's a decent price as the 2012 inventory is pretty slim now.

i made an offer, $32500 for 3.8 with premium package for brand new one. dealer wanted $33200. i ended up getting a demo with 1800 miles for $28K. figured not worth extra $5K for the premium package. you might want to wait until december and get it cheaper! in the mean while keep an eye out for a demo. one guy here paid $27K with 7K miles. that's a good deal. good luck.
