  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking to trade my 2012 Genesis Sedan 3.8 for a 2015 Genesis Sedan 5.0 Ultimate. ANY ADVICE WITH HELP. YES OR NO. Let me know if I should be worried about anything. The 2012 has 128,000km and the 2015 has 71.700km with the remaining factory warranty. What should I look for.

I traded my 2012 5.0 for a 2015 mostly due to the HTRAC. It's been problem free with the exception of the replacement of the HTRAC's Transfer Case. The car was surging upon acceleration best described as the feeling one gets while towing a trailer on a rough road. Weird, and I believe that it was not a common problem. Other than that, it's just been oil changes (which I do myself) and have been able to avoid dealerships for now. Fortunately the problem occurred while South for the winter and the local Florida Dealer was well versed with this car and its drivetrain. Not so sure that my little local Hyundai dealer in Canada would have been as able to diagnose and repair the vehicle - they've probably only sold 2-3 Gen 2 Genesis ever and don't sell G80's at all.
