  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Just recently purchased a Genesis and I have to say I am in love with the car. I have had some issues with my mirrors folding in although. whenever I click my lock button twice on my key fob or use the mirror fold in button on the driver door I hear the electrical motors running and a repetitive clicking noise and neither mirror will fold in. I am wondering if anyone has had the same issues and if anyone could offer a solution.

Recently discussed in another thread. The innards are broke.. Cheapest fix it to just leave them in place, unfolded.

any idea on how I could get it fixed?

Someone saud the innards are not sold separate and you need a new mirror. Check with Hyundai parts department and see if they have a gear kit or something though.

Or find a junkyard set in your color or pull the guts out of one and put in yours.

I was about to post on this as my 2012 4.6 is doing much the same thing. My mirrors do fold in and out, but after doing so, there is a clicking or racheting sound that continues for about a minute, then stops.

Edit: And I might add, it's not a very good commentary on Hyundais's power folding mirror technology, as I have rarely even folded them.
