2012 instrument cluster in a 2011?

Just to make sure I understand, Can anyone tell me if I can swap instrument clusters.
I have a 2012 3.8 Premium, Can I swap in a Rspec or a tech package cluster. not to worried about mileage as I will try to get one with similar mileage as mine.

Because the older model genesis doesnt have lane departure, electronic parking brake etc. im trying to find someone to remove the lights for me

Yes you can. I did it with mine but a few lights are gonna be on the dash

So the RPM. MPH, Fuel, and Temp would all work correctly? If you could post pic of yours would be cool. I don't mind a AFLS, Auto hold, LDWS or Adaptive cruise light to be on as I don't have those features
I don't have parking sensors so idk if those would illuminate as sensing something or just dark.

Here is a picture of mine. I need the tire monitor reset again, i just got it changed but i like this dash way better. I dont plan on swapping the old one back. My old dash read 167k miles, this one reads 65k

Oh yeah, heck of a lot better, I never was a fan of the old one, my car is at 120K so I'm just going to get one with a close enough mileage and go from there.

Oh but meaning 2012-2014 vs the 2009-2011?
Mine is a 2012 and bluetooth is integrated seamlessly.
Love the bluetooth on autoconnect.

The 2013-2014 have a different radio than the 2009-11 and 2012. I have a 2012 in mine and its almost the same as my 2009. The 2013-2014 has a totally different interface and plays music through Bluetooth

I got it, seamless installation took less then 15mins. It was definitely worth it. Thanks for clearing it up for me to be able to pull the trigger on it. Picked it up for $75 shipped.

oh yes, the EPB and AFLS came on. However I didn’t like that so I took a tiny piece of electrical tape and covered it and it is not noticeable at all. And looks very good.

Just did this, took me 30 min or less. Works great and makes the car seem newer. Only fault it I have a 2011 4.6 tech and it doesn’t have Lane departure warning so a little light is on in the screen. Other than that it works great.

But I do have a question, how can I adjust the brightness? The little scroll wheel for my old cluster doesnt seem to work for this one. Any ideas?

As far as the brightness on the cluster the only thing I could imagine is the cluster is from a 2012-2014 and you may have needed a 2009-2011 version, may have different pin layouts. Don't quote me as I'm only going by past experience. Yea I haven't seen it at night yet but I'm sure it will be ok. My old cluster was at full brightness so I'm just used it being bright. As far as cruise control it works great, thats the first thing i tested because I use it all the time. Im looking into doing more stuff to my car so now that this has gone good I cant wait.

Old odometer=119,653
wrote down both and will keep for record, also at this point I have no plans on selling my car.
I agree though going from 130k to like a 40k is a bit much. But to each their own and it's none of my business.

I was more interested in the law(s) regarding odometers, rather than your opinions on it. Anybody who tampers with an odometer without following the law is setting himself up for a future problem. It’s best to know the law.
