2012 R-Spec headlights fit on 2011 4.6??

I have a 2011 4.6 and I REALLY want the LED strip in the headlights like the 2012 R-Specs. I called the dealership and they said the housing wouldn't match but I think that's wrong. Anyone know??

I hate when dealers say "it won't fit/work" when the real answer is they don't know.

The lights are completely compatible across all the years as long as you match the headlight type i.e. halogen 09-11 for halogen 12-14, and HID 09-11 to HID 12-14 (even the AFLS switches over).

It's not just R-Specs that have the cool LED swirl in the headlights. My 2013 3.8 Tech has them too.

My understanding (reading previous discussions of this topic on the forum) is that 2012-2014 headlights are not an exact fit on a 2009-2011 Genesis sedan. There will be some mis-match where the headlight assembly fits against the sheet metal, although some may not find it objectionable. There are existing threads on this.

isn't the '12+ front bumper slightly different with the headlight changes?

The bumper is wider. A lip for a 12-13 doesn't fit a 09-11. Not really sure about the headlight housings but it wouldn't surprise me.
