not really much noise. it still has the magnaflow exhaust which sounds nice too. i never dyno'd the car so really hard to feel additional 10-20 hp on 429hp car just from intake, but i took pic of small indent on hood felt from shield showing that it fits flush to hood to keep most of engine heat out. also smallish hole (squared edge) under stock airbox to allow fresh air in. ill attach pics

i put larger wider tires on it but would still constantly break loose unless i feathered the gas. im sure the exhaust, 2nd cat deletes and intake helped it flow better. and im not so young anymore at 53.

Well I must be childish a 51 Lol I have a tune ,no mufflers, test pipe 3inches , a x pipe and 305 on the rear. And in manual mode it crackles and pops with best of them , I put in drive when I want to act cilvalize. Do you still have the intake ? I hope my words are not offensive not judging or tying to upstage you just sharing, I pray it's taken in that manner.

i heard talk of a tune, but did not hear of a reliable one that was production ready. my 275 on the rear were just barely sticking out. your 305 are even larger. no offense taken. my neighbor would joke with me that they knew when i left or came home. still have all pieces, just picked up new car today.

Ok I need your honest opinion, do you think its worth it to get the intake $175 is a great price but its Christmas time and maybe a sprint booster would be better served. I want more power and I don't want to waste money. Thank you for responding and not being offended. God bless you.

thanks. i only have honest opinions. really no reason to embellish anything. sprint booster doesnt make any more power from what i have read here and other sites. only seems to give guicker throttle tip in. so at 1/4 throttle would seem like 1/3, and 1/2 throttle like 2/3. but full on would still be only be full on. no additional power or throughput.

I didn't mean any harm but when I called RC2 they said increases sound and you SHOULD get 10 HP and most people on the site complain about the heat soak, so im just trying to do my due Diligence , that the only reason for the honestly comment. I should of ask would you buy it again if they made it for your new car. Was it worth the original $295 price.? Thanks again and God bless you.

from what i have read on here, sb will not increase accel times since it does not increase hp or allow the car the car to intake or expel gasses better. off the line flooring would be identical too. only change sb will do is allow from partial acceleration to partial acceleration marginally quicker since it supposedly sends its own signal to read throttle position at a lower point than what it is (like 1/3 throttle to give 1/2 throttle response). flooring the throttle will still supposedly give the same signal and same results; or so the threads have read. you will get increased sound with the R2C or any high flow intake, but nothing crazy since you have the muffler deletes already. i didnt notice any heat sink issues, this unit comes with custom shield. i loaded pictures showing how well it shields the airbox area and the fresh air intake area at the base of the engine. im already looking to mod the new car. much more expensive. two tubes and and filters for the new car and some of those guys dont have heat shields. i bought it off a guy who bought my stock exhaust for lease trade in, so less than the $300, but i enjoyed the car and flooring it every chance i got, so def worth it to me and i would buy again. cheers

Thank you, so how do I purchase this intake from you,and it that rust on the back of the heat shield? Thank you for responding, there's a YouTube video showing lower zero to sixty times. But I will get back to you, I'll probably do both.

there was some rust on the shield. i did a quick sanding on it and resprayed it. ill snap a fresh pic for you. the filter has a small pinch on the rubber where the clamp compresses onto the tube, but doesnt effect anything. the filter itself is reuseable with the basic k&n cleaning kit. paypal?
