I purchased my Genesis Rspec sedan because my Girl wanted a sedan and me a sorts car.
Having owned a G35 6 speed sedan with the sports packages that I drove until 200k and gave it to my son and now it's a show car with twin turbos etc etc etc.
Last week the transmission started violent jerking and missing.
I left it at the dealer and got devastating news. The car was delivered to the 1st owner in July 2011 it was out of warranty by 2 months and 2 days even though it was under the mileage limit.
I was floored and the repair of the valve body pressure switch was over $900.00 and required the car to be lifted and the transition completely disassembled.
My Girl went to Pohanka Hyundai and explained the situation and was told by the attendant that we are stuck and powerless.
Then the General Manager stepped in and instructed the attendant to call the regional representative to explain the details.
An hour later I received a call that under the factory "goodwill" program our car would be fixed for $100.00.
We were hooping like a senior with an acceptance letter to Harvard for basket weaving.
Hyundai now has a customer for life.
