  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I would assume my car has blue link.... but I registered at my hyundai with the vin and I see no place to sign up for it. Was it standard on the Genesis in 2013?

Nope....You need the V6 Technology package, or the 8 model to get that..

I wouldn't worry about it. I had bluelink and thought it was pretty much worthless.

Thanks. Reading similar reports from others. Only thing that appealed to me was the remote start so I could have the AC going for a few minutes before leaving work in the afternoon.

I had a local car accessory shop install the CompuStar CS700-S remote starter in my 2013 3.8 Base for just this reason. Ran me $300 and works perfectly. No more burns to the back of my legs when I hop in the car during hot weather.

As long as there's no electrical problems during the fundamental warranty that require dealer intervention you're good. If there is there will be a problem. Hyundai appears to be very particular about any electrical modification during the warranty period. That's why to my knowledge there's not been any dealer installed remote start systems offered. (other than Blue Link or course not dealer installed)
In the case of a problem it would probably be advisable to remove system before service at dealer.

It's no big deal. I have it on my Sonata and I get monthly reports but nothing that I don't already know about. It's not on the base model and as someone pointed out neither is it on the Equus which is ridiculous considering its price.

I'd be more concerned about the lack of a rear view camera. That's my issue right now.
