  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I’ve done some research online of a few exhaust’s to put on the genesis but this is my first car that I’ve been interested in putting mods on so I’m wondering what are some cheap exhaust’s I could get for this bad boy

I’m going to put a cutout valve in mine. Keeping it stock

I don’t know. Trying to find a welder muffler pro around me to get a quote.
Watch this video

What’s it going to cost you for that? And How loud is that?
I just got back from my mechanic and he said installation with wiring and welding would be $800 plus the valve kit

Hey thanks for that post appreciate it. Where are you putting your valve at?

My idea is:
delete the secondary cat, put the valve somewhere before the resonator and eventually run pipe toward the rear from the valve.

It will sound like stock when I need it and straight pipe when I want it to

I have a 2012 3.8L Tech package and bought a Magnaflow cat-back exhaust meant for a 2011 4.6L but bolted right up. When I get on it you get a nice raspy tone which I like

Is there a link for the cut out?
Never done one before, but I pulled my my mufflers off last night and it sounded awesome but I don’t always want it loud.
