  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello all,

Anyone every tried to open their trunk while it's raining? I had to get some groceries the other day and when I opened the trunk and lifted the lid, all the rain water that was sitting on the trunk dripped into the trunk. Some ran off to the sides and was carried away but a lot actually dripped right into the trunk when the lid was fully raised. I was suprised this happened as I've never had a car drip into the trunk before.

Very common complaint of both Genesis Sedan and Equus.

I've had some of my work files damaged because of this issue and have written about it on this forum before. This is a design flaw that should have been corrected with the 2012 redesign. In fact, it should have been caught before the intro of the 2009.

I agree with all especially Retry. I had a 2009 Genesis that had the problem and my new 2013 does too. A small inconvenience but shouldn't happen on a car listing over $44K.

People who can afford these cars in Korea have chauffeurs and/or garages.

First time this happened to me was a few days after i got my new 2013 G sedan in May. After a fairly light spring rain, I opened the trunk only to have a decent sized dollop of rain water funnel directly into my open briefcase and laptop.

Not cool, Hyundai designers who knew about this design flaw since 09. :/
