  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

So I have read the older threads on resetting the active headrest and have had a few problems.

First when going to remove the headrest, there is no retaining pin, thinking that the dealership may have forgot to replace it I tried just removing it ( even tried prying it free with tools), this failed. Was the head rest changed for 2013?

Second, giving up on liberating the headrest from the car I tried following the other instructions in the manual to remedy the issue, to no avail. If I can’t get the headrest out to apply force to get it to lock into place should I just have a friend whack the hell out of it with a hammer as I hold it down? I may need to use the hammer now that I think on it, I need to express some rage.
