Sounds a little odd, but I started noticing shifting issues and shortly after my battery went out. It went away. It came back again several months later and the battery failed again and the alternator was bad. There definitely was an electrical link. I do notice a slight hard shift and will be getting the transmission fluid changed.150k miles new owner!!!!
Any fix for the condition...please!
Raf,
Why does slamming into gear warrant a new transmission? If it's not affecting engine performance or making the car hard to drive, then what is the issue?does it slam into gear?
if so no amount of fluid change will fix it, you need a new transmission, sorry, happen to my 2013, luckily it was within the warranty period of the dealership, so they replace me a new transmission.

Dealer was about to replace the transmission on mine. Factory had them replace some solenoids and that worked.Purchased 2013 genesis 3.8 sedan with auto transmission. Transmission replaced 3 years ago. Car has 174KM.
Having an issue on 1st gear of hard shifting (jerking). Any recommendation of remedies.

Any check engine light? The two suggestions here..change transfluid and replace the ( torque converter converter control) solenoid are good starting places. Knowing the trouble code helpsPurchased 2013 genesis 3.8 sedan with auto transmission. Transmission replaced 3 years ago. Car has 174KM.

CHANGE...don't flush the trans. It's my understanding that if the fluid is just drained there's still enough of the sticky stuff left that one of the other replies mentioned.Any check engine light?
