  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Hello, people,
In a 2013 Hyundai Genesis sedan with a 3.8L V6 DOHC 24V engine,
the Driver's power seat Sometimes won't move (forward, back, up, down).
When pushing the Drivers Position Memory buttons on the door,
sometimes it works, sometimes not. It's an intermittent problem.
The levers on the side of the seat also Sometimes work, sometimes not.
That "Switch Assembly-Power Front Seat LH", Hyundai part # 88621-3M500
under the seat (the side controls) has been replaced, costing about $300.

What might be the problem?

Thanks, people.

Check your wiring connections under the seat. Not just the plastic connectors but also the wiring metal "male/female" connectors in the plastic connections. I have had issues in the past with metal connections becoming dislodged from the plastic connectors causing faults.

There is something under driver seat on the left side where the seat slides back and forth that you can press to make it work again.
