  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Looking to update and upgrade your Genesis luxury sport automobile? Look no further than right here in our own forum store - where orders are shipped immediately!
Your Tech package Genesis maps cannot be updated unless a dealer does it. I takes a number of hours and is expensive. Make sure the dealer hooks up a battery charger so your battery doesn't die during the update.

Well I have a 2014 Genesis 3.8 Sedan with the Jog wheel and I just ordered the update on a USB flash drive, https://www.mapnsoft.com/hyundai/ and drove around until it was finished updating.

I wouldn't pay a dealer to do it when you can do it yourself...Just follow the directions that come with the update, it's not hard at all...

I think it depends on which model year one has. The Mapnsoft website will tell you whether you can install yourself.

True..

But the OP drives a 2013 Genesis 3.8 Sedan, so in his case he can do it on his own...

Mea culpa, for '13 he can do his own.

Is it just map update or software as well. I would like a more modern radio look.
