  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

2013 to cost quite a bit more

More horsepower on the 2013 by 40 and new front nose-hood

I know the 2013, but why would the 2012 model price go up. I would think dealers would be trying to clear them out.

They can sit on the lots and you can choose old style to new style. Some people are not going to like that big nose look. Takes a couple years to grow accustom to it. You can raise price to see who will pay over sticker. They all do it on a model change. The cost of the new is so much more who will know a little adjustment in price on a 2012. This way all previous models on back in years holds their value. I payed $31750 1 year ago for mine which just came in. It was in a different state. Had to go get it. At the time there was none to be found. So logic thinking says if we keep the supply down and the lust factor high, the price will be over sticker. If they flood the market the price will go down. What I see will happen is the name will change to a different model and there will be no more Genesis coupe. They will brand it under a different name. All companies do this. Quit making it to get you to want it back so they can get more money out of the car. A example was the anticipation of the new Camaro. So you either pay the piper or go buy a car that gets 60 mile per gallon.

We just took delivery of a 2013 Genesis 2.0T coupe, this thing is much faster, has an 8-speed auto tranny with the paddle shifters, and priced around $26 and some change. Its like night and day driving the 13 compared to the previous generation turbos, I am located in socal, if you have any questions feel free to contact me 310-713-7101

Steve,

I notice that your signature reads "Drives a Hyundai Genesis 5.0 V8 R-Spec Sedan" How do the 2 cars compare? the 5.0 sedan and the 2.0 turbo coupe?

A write up on this would be a great article!
