2014 3.8L TRANS SLIPPING INTO 3RD AND 5TH, am I screwed or is there something I can do?

As above, slips and then shifts hard from 2nd to 3rd and 4th to 5th. I do not have any transmission knowledge, but short of machining parts I can install most anything. Is this fixeable? Or do i need to just replace the whole transmission? Thoughgs appreciated!
 
Start with a fluid dump and fill (not a flush) if it improves a bit but not completely, drive 100 miles or so and do another dump and fill. If improvement is not sufficient after this, find a competent local independent transmission shop and go have a conversation with them about your vehicle.
