  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Are the parking sensors on the 2014 Equus now engineering to turn off completely after you drive over 12 miles an hour even in you have the button pushed in on the left side of the steering wheel? I keep pushing the button to turn the system on but it keeps turning off once I drive off.

Yes. Stupid isn't it?

That blows.

On my 2011 Genesis...4.6 Tech...If I press the Parking sensor, it stays on. Drive, and pull in to a parking spot - on. Stop and re-start the car... ON...

Really like this feature.

My newly purchased 2014 Signature does the same thing but when I first got the vehicle, I swear it didn't do this until I messed with the vehicle settings on the dash that's controlled with the steering wheel button on the left.

I'll try again tomorrow to see if that's the case.

Hyundai stupidly re-engineered the 2014 Equus so the Parking Assist System (PAC) turns itself off when you go above 11 mph, which leaves the front sensors completely inoperable unless you manually turn them back on. I raised hold hell about with with all of their customer service people in California, including the Executive Director in charge of that group. I suggest you also email him with your complaint because they have completely blown me off about this design flaw.

His name is Barry Ratzlaff --- Here's his contact information. Please help spread this on the Equus Forum discussions. We need to put the heat on these guys to get this fixed.

I"ve noticed that when I parallel park the car then shift into drive, the front sensors come on without manually pressing the button.

I have the same problem with my '14 equus' parking sensors... I thought I was the only one... I would love to see a quick fix. Wonder if disconnecting the battery will reset the car back to default???
