  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Are the front DRL Lamps supposed to go out when you use the turn signals?

When I signal left or right the DRL lamp will go out and stay out until the turn signal goes off..

Is this normal? I just happened to notice it today when I was behind a pickup and noticed it in the tailgate.

I know some owners have had problems with the Headlights going out with the turn signal coming on and I don't have this problem.

Only with the DRL's going out with the turn signals.

My 2012 3.8 Tech Sedan DRL's are now off. The lights work in parking and lights on mode, but no DRL's anymore.

Can this be switched on and off with some secret switch or combination of control inputs?

I'm sure I used to have DRL's.

Dealer said the switch is in the wrong position... see just turn it to here and the lights go on. Duh. Parking lights, but what good is the Auto lights function? It cracks me up how Service knows nothing about cars. Except that my diesel needs new spark plugs, of course.

I dislike DRL's, the entire purpose of them was/is to warn other drivers you are there however its gotten so everyone ignores them any how and they just take up electric juice which could otherwise be used/stored.
