2014 Sig. Black Smoke at tailpipes

Took this to dealer (>12,000 miles). Have black smoke residue on bumper. Dealer states nothing can be done, this is standard. Really? I find it hard to believe.
Like the car, but laugh that the EQUUS letters on trunk are on crooked. one would think that they could put their name on the car correctly.

Sounds like the car may be running a little rich

as for the letters on the trunk...that should be fixed under warranty
I assume you are the original owner...was this a lease or a retail purchase?

Warren thanks. I am second owner with certified used. Purchased at hdai dlr. dealer says nothing he can do about black smoke, says indemnify to white genesis and eqs. They laughed at me about letters. Like the car, just bugged at black around tailpipes, not likely to get better over time

I believe the black tailpipes are an artifact of direct injection.

Several of my Equus cars have done this also. A lot of short in
town drives I believe cause this.

I also think it is partly the design of the tail pipes, I have seen
several other brands do the same thing.
