  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

Would love to see & read information about the audio upgrades you have had performed on your sedan. I just purchased a Audio Control 10-channel processor to use with my Alpine amplifiers & am planning to use these to boost my power to my stock speakers initially before upgrading all of my speakers. Will be adding the processor, a pair of JBL GTi 12" MarkII (I believe) subs & a Alpine PDX-1.1000 to start with. Seeking a few more solutions to replacing the rest of the speakers. Show my your pics/info on what you have done with your system.
Thanks In Advance.

Doubt that you can pour a ton more power into the stock system - the Lexicon in my Ultimate is 900w. I've heard that adding an additional sub is worthwhile though.

I added a 15 Kicker subwoofer and Precision Power amp to add a bit more bass response to my 17 speaker Lexicon system. The stock system sounds good overall in my opinion, however the stock subwoofer has a very weak output in the lower frequency range and seems better suited for more mid-bass that actual lower bass frequencies.

The Kicker subwoofer provides the low frequency bass that I can feel in the cabin and add much depth to my music. However, I do have the bass level set to -1 in my head-unit to prevent the bass from over powering the sound stage of the stock speakers. Sounds great.:)

I added a sub amp to the factory sub, due to the lack of bass in my 2015 Ultimate, going over 3 years, cost was under $100, one of my favorite upgrade. I only listen to music so needed that extra deep bass for my reggae & jazz tracks.

Same as Dyffe, added an inline amp to the stock sub, very much improved. I really don't feel the need for anything loader at this point, the clarity is wonderful from my FLAACs.

What have you done to your system to get it to play FLAC's? Stock '15-'16 won't.

How is that done? I'm not at all tech savvy. Could it be done via a car audio shop if I asked them to do it?

Also, how much of a boost does it give to that small 6" sub (which I assume is in rear deck (center) ?

It is very simple for a audio shop, There is a detail write up by

kocyk123 here Adding bass to your 17 speaker Lexicon with new amplifier

The 6 inch sub pumps out a lot, you will be quite surprise, the problem is the stock amp is just not enough power.
