  • Hint: Use a descriptive title for your new message
If you're looking for help and want to draw people in who can assist you, use a descriptive subject title when posting your message. In other words, "I need help with my car" could be about anything and can easily be overlooked by people who can help. However, "I need help with my transmission" will draw interest from people who can help with a transmission specific issue. Be as descriptive as you can. Please also post in the appropriate forum. The "Lounge" is for introducing yourself. If you need help with your G70, please post in the G70 section - and so on... This message can be closed by clicking the X in the top right corner.

I got my letter today. I have noticed that my light switch gets a bit buggy ever so often and change light settings from auto to normal mode on its own without me touching the stalk. I will take it in if it does the glitch again. Hyundai seems to be stepping up to fix defects and provide proper coverage.

Has anyone here ever had an issue with that switch? I don't recall it ever coming up. Hyundai's taking care of business fixing things no one cares about.

I wonder how far down the list real problems like the driveshaft vibrations are?

Well, I have the light switch problem but not a drive shaft issue.

The light mode change happened again tonight on my way to work, which caused the headlights to go dark for a second; so it seems that my light switch stalk is on the way out. I guess I need to take my car in eventually to get it swapped out before it fails completely at night.

Apparently many owners must have complained about the light switch for Hyundai to create an recall for it and the fact that it is a dangerous fault to have since the headlights can fail at anytime until it is replaced. So it is an important recall for night drivers.

It's a real problem, I had stalk replaced about 3 years ago on my 2015.
