2015 3.8 AWD w/ultimate package Media connectivity

Can't get media to recognize connection to IPod even when using dealer usb adapter cable? Is the ultimate package the issue? or is it that I need a reset of some type?

Does it recognize anything on the USB port, like say a USB stick with MP3s? Will it charge a phone? If nothing happens then the port itself is most likely bad.

That will be next on my list to try. Thanks, I haven't used the port for anything yet since I only used the plug in 12volt adapter for my phone charging.

Checked the port today and you were correct sir the port was dead!! My cell phone would not charge when I connected it to the port. I also checked the cable and the IPod in my husband's car and it worked properly. I will ask the dealer to replace the port and we will see if that fixes my connection with my Ipod.
